The government of Indonesia is now extensively trying to have an economic rebound in 2022, and one way to support national economic growth is to direct and encourage foreign investment into the country, with Grand Batang City becoming one of the National Strategic Projects for it. While the national average take-up rate in the industrial estate is around 10-20 Ha per year, Grand Batang City has shown its achievement by dealing in up to 90 Ha area in the operational year of 2021, exceeding its target by almost three times. This achievement has been reached due to the high interest and trust of foreign investments in Grand Batang City.
Grand Batang City holds the full support of the Indonesian government. All the elements of the projects are directly conducted by Indonesia's State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), namely PT PP (Persero) Tbk as the main contractor, PTPN IX as the land provider, Perumda Batang as regional support from the government, PT KIW as the estate manager, and other enterprises as the utility provider. As of now, Grand Batang City has successfully managed to bring Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) as five foreign tenants officially joined by mid-2021.
Due to its marketing achievement, Grand Batang City recently just acquired 2 International Awards. They received a Gold Medal in Globee Awards’ Products, Services, and Solutions for Asia-Pacific category and they also managed to earn a Silver Medal in the Business-to-Business Service Category in the world’s premier business award called The 18th Annual International Business Awards 2021, known as the Stevie Awards.
